We are fully committed to the environment and are aware of the impact we have as a responsible transport company. The way we use our fleet plays a major role in our environmental policy. We foster an environment where deliveries and collections are planned using our resources to their full potential, reducing empty running to make sure that when the wheels are turning, they are turning with a purpose.
Fleet
- We operate Euro 6 compliant vehicles which are tried and tested to be the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the road
- All of our trucks have aero kits fitted and tyres are selected for the best fuel-efficiency and Carbon friendly
- All of our vehicles use AdBlue, which helps to reduces carbon emissions and we monitor fuel to AdBlue ratios weekly to ensure that we minimise our carbon footprint
- All of our vehicles are fitted with the latest high spec technology and tracked constantly by our Planning Team to eliminate unnecessary miles and keep fuel usage to a minimum
Operations
- Our Planning Team work hard, planning effectively, and liaising with collection and delivery points to maximise the fleet’s efficiency
- We have invested in an enhanced telematics reporting system that analyses driver standards and idling times, identifying areas to educate and improve
- We recycle as much waste as we can to help offset our carbon footprint
- We have plans in place to trial an alternative Bio-fuel in collaboration with one of our suppliers, having successfully used them previously.
